For your prayers
The Second Sunday in Lent
Almighty God, who seest that we have no power of ourselves to help
ourselves: Keep us both outwardly in our bodies, and inwardly in our
souls; that we may be defended from all adversities which may
happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and
hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
The Baptist Union
6 March is the World Day of Prayer - an international, women-led,
ecumenical movement promoting prayerful living and worship for
men, women and young people. This year the theme is 8I will give you
rest, come9, using materials prepared by women in Nigeria.

At the coming of Spring, we give thanks for all we hold dear: our
health, our family, and our friends.
We remember those who have recently died and those who mourn.
We continue to pray for those who are sick.
During the year ahead, let us release our grudges, our anger, and our
pains, for these are nothing but binding chains. Let us live each day
as Christ, and let us serve all who are in need, regardless of race,
colour, or creed. Let us remember that we are all one, embracing all,
discriminating against none.
May our coming year be filled with peace, prosperity, and love. May
we approach the year with positivity as we welcome a new minister
and step forward with grace
Harting
As a small village, Chapel Harting struggles with the number of
people attending our services. So, please pray for a revival in our
village and other small community churches, who I am sure are also
struggling in the same way.
