Peace on Earth is a partnership project between
Bedford Music Club, six local schools and Vox
Urbane, a professional vocal ensemble with
diversity at its heart. This exciting project is
funded by the Borough’s Education
Improvement Strategic Group (EISG).
The co-founders: Dan Ludford-Thomas and
Helen Meyerhoû, have worked professionally in
classical music collectively for more than fifty
years. They have a vision in which all aspiring
and gifted musicians, regardless of
background, can see a tangible and exciting
future for themselves as performers,
conductors and composers.
The project began with a teachers’ workshop,
rehearsals by school music staû and was led by
the Vox Urbane team. It takes as its starting
point the Master of the King’s Music, Errolyn
Wallen’s, beautiful and atmospheric Peace on
Earth.
Please note that for reasons of Child Protection,
no photography or videoing is allowed during
the performance, so please put your phones
away and on silent for the duration of the
concert.
At the end of the concert, you are welcome to
take pictures of your own child, but please make
sure this does not include other children, and as
always, you are advised not to share photos of
your child in recognisable school uniform on
social media.
